EVA Air’s standard checked baggage limit is a maximum total dimension (length + width + height) of 158 cm (62 in), including wheels and handles. Effective September 29, 2026, pricing rules for overweight, oversized, and additional pieces of sporting equipment have also been updated. Sporting equipment can be counted toward the free checked baggage allowance; if it exceeds these limits, the regulations and fees are as follows:

🚴158 cm (62 in) < Total Dimensions ≤ 203 cm (80 in):**

Subject to an oversized baggage fee equivalent to 1 piece of excess baggage.

🚴203 cm (80 in) < Total Dimensions ≤ 292 cm (115 in):**

Subject to an oversized baggage fee equivalent to 3 pieces of excess baggage.

🏂Baggage with total dimensions exceeding 292 cm (115 in) or weighing more than 45 kg (100 lbs):** Not accepted as checked baggage and must be handled as cargo or special freight in accordance with regulations.

Sporting equipment such as bicycles, golf gear, ski equipment, surfboards, and diving gear may be checked in accordance with EVA Air regulations. Certain large items must be declared at the time of booking. For further details, please refer to EVA Air's excess baggage and service fee guidelines.

Prepaid Baggage Discount: Passengers who confirm their baggage will be overweight or exceed the allowance may purchase prepaid excess baggage on the official EVA Air website up to 4 hours before scheduled flight departure.
